Carlos Carson will become newest member of Chiefs Hall of Fame

The Kansas City Chiefs are adding the newest member to the team’s Hall of Fame later this year with the announcement that Carlos Carson will be inducted this fall.

The Kansas City Chiefs have 42 players currently enshrined into the team’s Hall of Fame, but they’re prepared to make it 43 with the addition of wide receiver Carlos Carson.

Carson was drafted by the Chiefs in the 5th round of the 1980 NFL Draft and continued to be a productive receiver for the team through the entire decade. He finished his Chiefs career with 353 catches for 6,360 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns in 126 games with Kansas City.

Carson made the Pro Bowl in both ’83 and ’87 and, when he retired, he was third on the Chiefs all-time receiving list. He has since been passed by Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzalez. Carson is currently No. 5 and is tied at No. 7 in career receiving touchdowns with Henry Marshall.
