Question #4: What is your final prediction for a long-term deal for Berry?

Matt: Here’s my final prediction: Eric Berry signs a 5-year, $57.5 million deal with $32 million guaranteed.

Britt: Ouch, if that’s his number, then I hope it’s someone else. I think you are right about what he wants though, Matt. I think that’s what he gets somewhere else.

Matt: Personally I think anything below Tyrann Mathieu [5-year, $62.5 million] is a win.

Lyle: I would have said 5-year, $55 million with $30M guaranteed, so we’re pretty close. I’d be okay with that deal too, just not much higher.

Britt: I’d go 5-year $60 million with $30 guaranteed as well. That $60M just sounds good as a new plateau if he gets in a bidding war.
