Hello, from a fellow diehard Chiefs fan

Arrowhead Addict welcomes a new site editor, Matt Conner. Conner is taking over for Matt Verderame, after his 22 months on the job.

I’d never seen anything like him.

Christian Okoye. The Nigerian Nightmare. The perfect blend of size and speed. As a 10-year-old kid, I was entranced watching this seeming superhuman athlete run over anyone and everyone. Like most of those who tried to tackle Okoye in those years, I was bowled over.

I’ve been a diehard Chiefs fan ever since first seeing Okoye in 1987. For the last 17 years, I’ve also been a freelance writer/editor, and for several years, I’ve been very happy to marry those passions and gifts as an Assignment Editor for SB Nation and a site editor for Arrowhead Pride. And now some more good news: I’m happy to continue to do so as the new editor for Arrowhead Addict!

I’m already well acquainted with many of the writers at AA, given that we’re all ultimately in this ship together. We’re all fans, first and foremost, and we love to learn more about our favorite team. Even better is the resulting conversation that comes with sharing our opinions, the latest news, film insights and much more. I’m excited to see where this new venture brings us as we all continue to see where Andy Reid takes our beloved Chiefs.

I’ve got a learning curve ahead of me as I find an on-ramp to this new venture, but let me say that I am excited to be joining AA and the FanSided network and appreciate the opportunity to join this passionate community of writers and fans!
