Locked on Chiefs – Matt Derrick looks at win over Atlanta
By Ryan Tracy
Chiefs went into Atlanta and came out winners
This a game that should give the Chiefs even more confidence heading into their huge Thursday night showdown with the Raiders. Travis Kelce continued his streak of games of having over 100 yards receiving; almost securing that in the 1st half with 99 yards. Alex Smith completed an amazing 84% of his passes for a whopping 12.86 yards per completion.

The Chiefs even had a trick play on special teams that included a direct snap to Albert Wilson who streaked down the field for a TD. The play was made possible by a superb block by DJ Alexander to spring Wilson who wasn’t touched until the return man got a hand on him. The rest of the special teams units faired well in Atlanta as well after having helped get the win in Denver.
Emotional return to Georgia for Eric Berry
The player of the game however was Chiefs safety Eric Berry who made his return to his hometown. Berry certainly made the most of it as he had a pick 6 just before half and a pick two in the 4th quarter after the Falcons took a one point lead. Berry said after the game he was emotional throughout and he definitely showed he’s the heart of this team.
