The Kansas City Chiefs have some good news in their presser on Wednesday, announcing that Marcus Peters and Jaye Howard will practice today.

While there are still some huge names on the Kansas CIty Chiefs injury report, there are a couple stars coming off the list. On Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid announced that cornerback Marcus Peters and defensive end Jaye Howard will be on the field. This is obviously huge news considering how poor the defense played on Sunday in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, there are some other names to keep an eye on. The Chiefs will hiold Dee Ford out because of a hamstring strain that he sustained last weekend. However, Reid says he is looking at Ford in a day-to-day capacity. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin still is not practicing because of an injured groin, perhaps the biggest concern on the injury report.

We also know that nose tackle Dontari Poe and inside linebacker Derrick Johnson won’t be on the field. Johnson is still working through a sore hamstring while Poe is dealing with inflammation in his knee. It would be a shock if either can’t go on Sunday night, though.

Finally, Charcandrick West is in the concussion protocol after being hurt against Tampa Bay.
