There’s some thought that Ford’s production in 2016 is the by-product of the bad offensive lines the Chiefs have faced since the bye, but I suspect it’s more a result of his growth as a player than anything else. Time will ultimately tell if he can continue trending upward. For now, the Chiefs consider themselves lucky that one of their late-blooming draft picks appears to be having his coming out party as the team rides a three-game win streak.

Kansas City hopes that the emergence of 2016-draftee Chris Jones and return of Justin Houston makes Ford even more dangerous.

Are you buying or selling Dee Ford’s come-uppance? Has he simply beat up on bad competition or is his maturation a result of hard work during the offseason?

Can Ford shore up his game in run support or are you comfortable with him just being solid in coverage and an above-average pass rusher? Use the comment section below to begin the discussion. As always, we appreciate your readership and support.
