Last Sunday, the Chiefs inducted former Chiefs fullback Tony Richardson into their Ring of Honor.

Tony had a very successful 10 year spell in Kansas City and rightly deserves his spot. But how many of the current Chiefs roster deserves to be inducted into the Chiefs ‘Ring of Honor’?

They’re in…

Derrick Johnson

DJ was the first name that popped into my head and for good reason too. Not only the does he lead the Chiefs all-time list in tackles, but the all universe Middle Linebacker has been the heartbeat of the Chiefs defense for over a decade, and shows no signs of slowing down. Since missing the entire 2014 season due to a torn Achilles, ‘Super DJ’ as he is known on Twitter has been playing like a man possessed.

I really hope the Chiefs deliver the Super Bowl ring he truly deserves. He’s in.

Tamba Hali

Since being drafted out of Penn State in 2006 Tamba has been a menace to Quarterbacks all over the country. And he has the stats to back it up. Last year Tamba surpassed Neil Smith into second place on the Chiefs all-time sack list.  Now only the great Derrick Thomas sits in front of Tamba. The five-time pro bowler and two times All-Pro is one of the few players to have a sack against every team in the AFC.

His relentless effort and eagerness to get better means Tamba is the perfect for role model for young players, and a hero for Chiefs Kingdom. He’s in the Ring of Honor.

Jamaal Charles

There is no way that Jamaal doesn’t make it. To be honest if he can have a couple more good seasons then we may have to start talking about Canton for Jamaal, not just Arrowhead. He leads the team all-time list in rushing yards, and the leagues’ all-time average yards per carry list.

He’s in.

Just for fun let’s take a look at the list of running backs taken before Jamaal in the 2008 draft:

Darren McFadden, Jonathan Stewart, Felix Jones, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, Ray Rice and Kevin Smith.

Please tell me you laughed a little bit.
