Sunday’s win proves that this group can win the Super Bowl

You read that right. Took me a while to join the national pundits — several of which — who’ve picked this team to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. If I’m being honest, it’s been tough for me to wrap my head around that idea until Sunday. The mental toughness and heart this team displayed in the face of certain defeat opened my eyes. Kansas City is built in a way that no team in recent history can boast.

This administration has built a stubborn football team that believes it can win no matter how insurmountable the odds. Last season, they won 10-consecutive games (a franchise record). No team since the 1970 Bengals had started 1-5 and gone on to qualify for the postseason. In 2013, the Chiefs engineered the biggest one-year turnaround in team history. There’s something about this bunch, between the earholes and chest-high, between the numbers, that stands out from every other Chiefs team in recent memory. This team, is crazy enough to believe it can do anything — and it just might.

What does Sunday’s season-opening miracle suggest to you about this 2016 Chiefs team? Can you see a Super Bowl in this group’s future? Does an epic rally absolve this team of some obvious warts or should we still be very concerned about this team’s future? Use the comment section below to chime in.
