Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is typically reserved, but he let loose with plenty of emotion after a crazy win.
Alex Smith shows some fire on the field from time to time, but he’s mostly reserved. On Sunday, all of that went out the proverbial window after he ran for a 2-yard touchdown, capping off a wild win at Arrowhead Stadium. How wild? The Chiefs trailed by 17 points in the fourth quarter, and then scored the final 23 points of the game to win in overtime.
Here’s Smith after the final touchdown that gave Kansas City a 1-0 record.
On Twitter, plenty of people were able to capture the moment:

This is the largest comeback in franchise history, with the Chiefs overcoming a 21-point deficit in the second half. One has to wonder what this win does for a team that already had Super Bowl aspirations.
The Chiefs now have to collect themselves over the course of the next week, playing the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
