The Kansas City Chiefs announced earlier in the week that running back Jamaal Charles would likely miss Week 1, and that appears to be the case.
With the official injury report coming out later today, head coach Andy Reid is giving the updates at his press conference this afternoon. Reid told the media that Jamaal Charles would be listed as doubtful, which technically means he has a 25 percent chance (or less) or playing on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.
On the positive side of things, outside linebacker Tamba Hali did practice after being listed as a non-participant yesterday with a family issue. Hali is expected to play on a snap count, rotating with some of the the linebackers including Frank Zombo, Dezman Moses and perhaps rookie Dadi Nicolas. Without Justin Houston in the lineup, getting pressure on Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has to be a concern for defensive coordinator Bob Sutton.
Jamaal Charles is doubtful for Sunday's game, Andy Reid said. "He's probably not going to play," he said.

When asked if Ware will be the first guy Sunday, he said "You could probably say that, yeah. But don't hold me to that. Personnel groups."
