The Chiefs made a bunch of practice squad moves on Tuesday. Ramik Wilson, Jordan Devey, Terrance Mitchell and Julian Wilson were added to the Chiefs practice squad. That means that Shak Randolph, Daniel Munyer, Tyrell Adams, and Brock Vereen were released from the practice squad. The Chiefs were always very busy bringing players on and removing them from their practice squad in previous seasons and it appears this season will be no different.

Late Tuesday afternoon it was announced the Brian Parker failed his physical with the Jets and was released. The question of whether or not he will end up elsewhere will be something that will be interesting to watch moving forward. It is intriguing that the Chiefs released him and without an injury designation and he was then unable to pass his physical in New York. Parker was injured towards the end of the game on Thursday so it is a situation that needs to be monitored moving forward.

Kansas City will have their first regular season practice today and all eyes will be on Jamaal Charles and Tamba Hali. It’s already been announced that Charles is not likely to play on Sunday against the Chargers but it will be interesting to see how much work Tamba Hali gets. Eric Berry should be good to go as he was reportedly in fantastic shape which was not surprising. The Chiefs need a quick start to the season and hopefully they will find a way to win this week and start a winning streak headed back home to play the Jets after going to Houston the week after. Kansas City cannot afford to start the season anything like what they did last year as they will have an extremely hard time repeating the winning streak.
