Today will be the beginning of the end of a number of hopeful players for the Kansas City Chiefs. the team will be releasing players as the clock ticks down to Saturday’s deadline. At 4pm Eastern time teams must be down 53 players on the active roster.

The wide receiver group was answering questions on the field agains there Packers. De’Anthony Thomas showed he is still a player with some spark in this offense. He gave the staff somethings o think about. Rod Streater played deep into he game than expected. Could that mean he is on the bubble?

Tyreek Hill took a step backward Thursday. He looked like a rookie for really the first time this preseason. Fellow rookie DeMarcus Robinson had a few nice plays on offense, but shined on special teams. Robinson may need time to develop, but he earned himself a roster spot with his playmaking on kick coverage.

The defensive highlight of the game was provided by Dadi Nicolas. He tallied 2 sacks and forced fumble on the night. Post-game reports indicated he was injured on the second sack and reports a neck strain that will need an MRI on Friday. Nicolas could have an important role to play in 2016. Defensive backs Eric Murray and KeiVarae Russel played well against Green Bay. Kenneth Acker got his feet wet in the Sutton system, while Marcus Cooper had a quiet (in a good way) night.
