The Kansas City Chiefs play the Green Bay Packers in their final preseason game. Who should we be watching on Thursday night?

Kansas City all but knows who is going to be on the final 53-man roster, save for a few spots. We know who all the starters are going to be, it’s just a question of who stays on the team behind them, and who is headed out of town.

There are three positions we should be watching very closely tonight. Here they are:

1. Quarterback

We know that Alex Smith and Nick Foles are going to be the Nos. 1 and 2 on the roster. We believe that Tyler Bray has a very good chance of bring the third and final quarterback. However, what happens with Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan?

Hogan is very likely to go to the practice squad or maybe even the Injured Reserve list, simply to protect him from waivers. Murray has been the source of trade rumors all week, with some believing he could end up with the Dallas Cowboys. If Murray plays really well on Thursday, his stock will go up and perhaps general manager John Dorsey can get something back for him. Otherwise, Murray is likely to be cut and then picked up in free agency.

Smith won’t be playing at all on Thursday, so this is the time for his reserves to make a mark. After this, we hope to never see any of them on the field for a meaningful snap.

Next: 2. Cornerback
