2. Can the Chiefs finally close out a win?
The Chiefs have not had much luck in closing their opponents when it comes down to the end of the game. Both the Seattle and the Rams games were well within the control of the team for the victory, but slipped away.
Now, it is true that these games don’t mean a lot in terms of the win-loss record. What the game are is a way for the coaches to look at the players on the current roster. The cuts are coming, and coming soon for the team so the more time they look at the two’s three’s etc. the better.
However, even with that in mind the team still needs to find a way to close out the games they are in, especially the close ones. The game this weekend against the Chicago Bears should have the starters playing well into the third quarter. This is all depending on how well the game is and what head coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey will be looking for.
For a team this full of talent on both sides of the ball to lose games this close is a little shocking. Hopefully with the first team out there doing the good they have been doing this game will have a better ending, even when the second and third strings take the field.
