Here is a link to the first episode of the Locked on Chiefs podcast. We will be covering the team five days a week as part of the Locked on Podcast network. In the first episode we cover my other impressions from training camp and discuss the other players that made an impact.

Other camp notes:

I said it earlier but Tyreek Hill looks like a great find for KC. Expectations are probably way too high already for the rookie but he has the ability to make people forget about De’Anthony Thomas. Hill had a fantastic deep ball catch on Sunday getting behind double coverage & having at least 6 yards of separation when he caught the ball.

Parker Ehringer looks the part at guard from the time I was able to watch him in team. He had a couple of good snaps including one where he took on rookie Chris Jones one on one and kept him out Smith’s face.

Tyler Bray looks to have improved a lot from what he looked like two years ago. He’s comfortable in the offense and makes the longer throws look effortless. He is making better decisions than he was before and it will be good to see him play on Saturday.

DeMarcus Robinson had a couple of nice catches mostly in one on ones but also got open deep before he was underthrown by Murray.

Steven Nelson continues to get first team reps in the base defense
across from Marcus Peters. He had a pretty good hit on Hammond in team and arrived just as the ball did, however Hammond did hold onto the ball.

Marcus Peters had two picks on Saturday and another pick on Sunday. Looks like he is feeling pretty good after leaving practice early on Saturday and getting an IV.

Justin March continues to stick his helmet in and be around the ball each practice.
