The new Madden 17 game is coming out shortly, and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking good.

Whenever a new Madden game comes out, people rush to see where theuir team is ranked. People want to know what the folks over at EA Sports think, and usually for Kansas City, it is a big disappointment.

In 2017, it is a revelation. Kansas City is ranked at 85 overall, only behind the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots. The Chiefs are tied with the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers as well.

But the best part? The Denver Broncos are rated as an 82, with both inferiors defense and offense to the Chiefs. And, finally, they are tied in overall rating with … the Tennessee Titans. Amazing.

Madden 17 can be purchased on Aug. 23 when the game is releasing to the public. It should be fun playing with an offense that includes Jamaal Charles, Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce and a real offensive line for the first time.

Other shocking ratings included the New York Jets, who at 77 are only better than the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns. As for the rest of the AFC West, the Oakland Raiders are sitting at 84 and the San Diego Chargers are bringing up the rear at 81.
