Coffee with the Chiefs – Battles shaping up

The Kansas City Chiefs are back at training camp for the 2016 season … all of them.

For the first time this season, the Chiefs will have their entire team at St. Joe’s for practice. It’s always exciting to watch all the guys hit the sleds for the first time, watching them come together as a team. For years, there was nothing to be excited about. They Andy Reid showed up, and that all changed.

Hopefully the team can get ready without getting hurt, something that one or two teams always fall prey to.

Here is the news you need to know…

"Both can make a legitimate case for best at their position in the league, and the rest of the pairings in the league can’t. The Patriots have a really good pairing in Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung, and they have a good safety in Harmon that they bring on in sub packages. Green Bay (Clinton-Dix and Burnett) also deserves mention, and Denver (Ward and Stewart) is pretty strong as well."

Chiefs have decision to make on quarterback depth chartAdam Teicher of ESPN

"Bray was the more impressive of the two players in offseason practice. But the offseason work is conducted without contact, so quarterbacks don’t have to deal with the effects of a pass rush. That doesn’t make for the best environment to gauge the progress of a quarterback."
