Chiefs practice report: Day 2

The Kansas City Chiefs were at training camp for the second day of their stay, working out the quarterbacks and rookies once again.
Kansas City was back on the field Thursday morning, with about 30 players made up of quarterbacks, rookies and veterans returning from injury. While the pads have not come on yet and so the observations are rolling in with grains of salt, there is still plenty to report.
For starters, receiver Tyreek Hill is continuing to draw huge praise from his teammates. Hill has been the star of the offseason after being the cause of a major controversy, showcasing elite speed. On Thursday, it was cornerback KeiVarae Russell singing his praises.
"I've never seen somebody that fast."@Keivarae1 on Tyreek Hill.

Russell then apologized to college teammate Will Fuller.
Here is some more from Thursday’s practice…
Top pass of the day at #ChiefsCamp went from Alex Smith to Tyreek Hill deep down the right sideline on a hitch-n-go. Result was 80-yard TD.

Moments later, Hill ran similar route but cut it off, which created about 10 yards of separation as DB bailed to protect deep. 15-yard gain.

Rookie CB Tre Jones was carted off the practice field. Not sure what's wrong.

Overall, a good day for the Chiefs. There will be one more practice with this group on Friday before all the veteran report later in the afternoon. The first full-team practice is on Saturday afternoon.
