It goes without saying that any team that runs a 3-4 base defense like the Chiefs has to somewhat rely on the play of their defensive line. It’s guys like Poe, Howard and Bailey that will need to continue to put pressure and create havoc for opposing offensive lines and quarterbacks in order to help free up stud linebackers Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson and when he comes back, Justin Houston.

With these guys setting the tone at the line of scrimmage, the Chiefs should be primed to have one of the best defenses not only in the AFC but also in the entire league this season.
