Tyreek Hill, WR/PR/KR

Here is another rookie, only this time with even more buzz.  Since Kansas City selected Tyreek Hill in the fifth round in May, there has been plenty of attention directed toward the actions of this young man. With a previous assault of his pregnant girlfriend, many believed the Chiefs were wrong in giving Hill a second chance. Following the incident, he was kicked out of Oklahoma State and forced to play at West Alabama last year.

I had faith in Dorsey’s move to take Hill, allowing the Chiefs to develop this young man as a person and player. On a positive note, the rookie dynamo was a shining star in OTA’s, leaving many to believe that Hill might steal De’Anthony Thomas’ gadget role right from under his nose.

That should be one of the more fiercest battles at Chiefs camp, but the rookie might get the nod for his ability to play receiver thus far. DAT is as explosive as they come, but his inability to stay healthy could leave the door wide open for Hill.

Players and the media have discussed all the different gears Hill possesses, and it seemed Thomas got a little defensive when asked about how his speed compared to Tyreek’s. The McCluster’s, Thomas’, and Hill’s of the world are always fun to watch. You never know where they will be lined up and how they will be deployed. The front office took a shot on this troubled character for a reason.
