Justin March – Last year’s fan favorite underdog, Justin March put on an impressive performance during Training Camp and the preseason.  A solid tackler who also showed the ability to take on and clear blockers, March showed all of the talents the Chiefs should be looking for in a compliment to Derrick Johnson/Ramik Wilson.  If Wilson and March continue to develop on what they’ve show so far, Chiefs fans could have a very good inside linebacker combo for years to come.

Dee Ford – In what may be the decisive year for Ford’s future, he’s getting his best opportunity yet to showcase his talent.  There is no doubt that he hasn’t lived up to his draft pick, but it was no secret that he was going to take some development when the Chiefs drafted him.

Ford has flashed talent and the ability to get into the backfield, but consistency and a high level of technical prowess have been missing.  If he can take a step forward this year, he could provide the competent replacement the team needs for Tamba Hali.

DJ Alexander – Alexander may be the odd man out when it comes to the Chiefs inside linebackers, but he’s already gotten onto Special Teams, and coaches are always on the lookout for those kinds of guys.  He came with some hype out of college, and seems a good fit in the strong inside linebacker spot (next to Derrick Johnson) where he can attack blockers and fill running lanes.
