Spencer Ware – There was no way the Chiefs could get lucky enough to have two quality backups at running back…except, that’s exactly what happened.  When Charcandrick West went down, the Chiefs continued to roll right along, this time with Spencer Ware toting the rock.  The Seattle cast-off found his niche in Kansas City and made the most of his opportunity.

He continued to play well even when West came back on the field, and the Chiefs found a solid one-two punch in the backfield.  It was a bit of a shock that the Chiefs brought both players back, but the team is better for having a player like Ware on the roster.

Darrin Reaves – He’s yet to break onto the roster, but there was a decent bit of buzz surrounding Reaves during Training Camp in 2015.  A balanced back, he could find a spot on the depth chart, or more likely the Practice Squad, as a fallback option in case of injury..  When thrown into the mix with West and Ware, Reaves could help round out a young and talented backfield for the next several years.
