Denver Broncos: QB 1?

Anytime Mark Sanchez potentially could be starting for your team, it is something that needs to be questioned. The problem is even more magnified when the roster around him is one of the best in the league. It’s not like Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler set the world on fire last year, but either way the Broncos will take a step back at quarterback in the fall.

Paxton Lynch looks to be a great, young talent, but I’m not sure he is ready to play right away. Then again, he may not have much of a choice. Then there is Trevor Simian, a Northwestern alum who will be entering his second season. The talk is Simian has a real shot to start, but I’ll believe it when I see it. And if he does start? It’s still Trevor Simian, a complete mystery to you, me, and himself.

So, most likely it will be Sanchez, and the answer to that question at quarterback may not even exist. A defense that already controlled the game in 2015 may have to take it up a notch in 2016. That doesn’t sound possible considering how good the Broncos defense was a year ago, but it might be the only way Denver stays a contender.
