Typically, the Kansas City Chiefs are touted as having a great fan base. Not this time.
Kansas City has long been known as one of the best cities in terms of fan support for its teams. The Kansas City Royals have recently enjoyed major rallies at Kauffman Stadium, while across the parking lot, the Kansas City Chiefs have had rocking crowds at Arrowhead Stadium.
Yet, according to this recent study, only the Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars have worst fan bases than the Chiefs. This is stunning on multiple levels, so let’s go through them.
First, Arrowhead holds the all-time record for noise in an outdoor stadium at 142.2 decibels of sounds. Second, the Chiefs play in a cold-weather city and fans still fill the building time after time, despite not winning a Super Bowl since 1969.
In addition, I will speak from experience on this. The New England Patriots were ranked No. 1, and that might be the biggest laugh of this whole thing. I’ve worked games and been on the sidelines during the contest at Gillette Stadium, and that place is a morgue. An absolute morgue. I have also been to Arrowhead, and practically been deaf the following day.
Addicts, this study is an affront to all of us.
