It’s time to catch up with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Good morning, Addicts! It’s HUMP DAYYYYYY. The Kansas City Chiefs are barely more than three weeks away from getting the training camp juices flowing, something I’m sure we are all ready for.
It’s always fun watching the reports from training camp come rolling through. I was happy to go to the camp last year and do some coverage, and it was a blast sans the 100-degree heat at 8:15 a.m. CST. That is brutal, and how those guys do it with pads on is beyond me.
Also, sorry for not doing CWTC lately, but vacation called. Be prepared to see it back in full force moving forward!
Now, onto the news you need to know about…
These Chiefs have added motivation in their contract year – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"Even if the Chiefs decide against keeping any of the trio of Cooper, Fleming or Brown into the 2017 season, this is still a showcase for their pro potential somewhere else. Branch earned a two-year contract this offseason after staying healthy and active for the Chiefs in 2015. Brown is definitely hoping to do just that after missing all of last season with an ongoing foot injury."
The Kansas City Chiefs magnificent seven: Where are they now? – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"It seems like he has some potential but even with injuries to Tamba Hali and Justin Houston, he has zero sacks in Kansas City. The problem with being a backup pass rusher in Kansas City is that if you’re on the field, something has gone wrong."
Chiefs rookie Garrick Mayweather eyes future as doctor – Herbie Teope of Chiefs Digest
"From surgeons to nurses, the list includes a grandfather who worked at the prestigious John Hopkins Hospital and a grandmother’s eldest brother, Dr. Chandran Krishnan, who served as the personal physician for the sultan of Malaysia."
