As you can see from my projections, it is safe to assume that the Chiefs will go as far and be as successful at the tight end position as star Travis Kelce will be. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years, this should be pretty obvious at this point in time. With that being said, tight end will once again be a very active place on the field this year for KC, especially when you factor in that Alex Smith loves to find and throw to his TEs, and exclusively when the Kansas City offense is looking to pass in the red zone.

Although the jury is still out on how much of an impact this group will ultimately have on the 2016 version of the KC offense, we can say that this is a very young group overall, as they range from ages 23 to 26 and they likely haven’t reached their full potential yet. If Chefs HC Andy Reid implements more two TE sets this year, this unit could end up making an even bigger impact on this offense with the potential combinations of O’Shaughnessy and Kelce or Kelce and Harris or potentially some rare three tight end sets with Kelce, O’Shaughnessy and Harris.

It just seems that any way you view it, this should be an exciting group to watch and also monitor this year and beyond for Chiefs fans. Addicts, what do you think of my projections for the Chiefs’ tight ends this season?

Let’s hear it!
