Eric has a mean streak that he has shown from time to time. The best example of this is his play against J.J. Watt in the Chiefs manhandling of the Houston Texans in the playoffs. Fish’s biggest issue is his consistency snap to snap.

Watching him can be very frustrating because on one snap he can look dominant and the next snap he will look completely overwhelmed. Had Fisher not sustained a high ankle sprain in training camp last season I’m not so sure the Chiefs wouldn’t have ended up winning the AFC West because they wouldn’t have started 1-5.

The two guard positions for Kansas City also pose several questions but they seem to be happy with players that make me a little nervous. While I would really like to be proven wrong on LDT he is not a proven player to this point and while right guard isn’t the most important position Chiefs fans are well aware of how bad a turn style at guard can hurt an offense (remember Mike McGlynn).

Parker Ehringer looks like the heir apparent at left guard. He started OTA’s on the second string but moved up to first string in the second week and hasn’t moved since. While I can secretly hope he will be another Mitch Morse in terms of his fit and ability on the offensive line in his first season, if Ehringer can just produce at 80 to 85 percent of Jeff Allen’s play from last year the Chiefs line could take a major leap forward.
