As we head into the long and boring part of the offseason the Kansas City Chiefs have multiple questions that must be answered in training camp. Kansas City is in a prime position to take over the AFC West this season but it will not be easy. Denver lost several players including both QB’s with experience from last season.

Oakland may have won the offseason in the NFL this year. After years of under-performing they were in a position to go out and spend a bunch of money and they drastically improved their team in the offseason. San Diego will always be tough with Philip Rivers but they didn’t do enough in the offseason to improve their offensive line and look to waste the end of Rivers Hall of Fame worthy career.

For the Chiefs to step forward and take over the division they must have multiple players step up this season. They will get a healthy Jamaal Charles back and hopefully at some point early in the season Justin Houston will return from his surgery to repair his knee injury at the end of last year. With the growth of several rookies from last season the Chiefs offense should have the ability to take another step forward.

The biggest question on the offense is easily the offensive line. With one of the biggest surprises in free agency the Chiefs signed the best young right tackle in the NFL in Mitchell Schwartz. One of the positions that has plagued the Chiefs for years looks to have finally been answered. The Chiefs haven’t had a good to great right tackle since John Tait back in the early 2000’s.
