Fisher is the former top-overall pick from a draft that has had awful picks in great quantity, but has had some hits. The 2015 season started with Fisher being inactive against the Texans amongst reports there were issues about him facing J.J. Watt.

The season ended with Watt being driven into the ground by an aggressive and nasty Fisher, something Chiefs fans had yet to see out of the Central Michigan product. One has to certainly hope Fisher has turned the corner, but, as sports fans in Kansas City will tell you, many of our local athletes have turned many a corner in their career only to require another corner being turned. Eventually, we start going in circles.

One hopes last year was a glimpse of things to come in this upcoming season, and not a glimpse what what is there, but never to be truly and fully uncovered. From all reports, Fisher’s health, which has been perhaps his biggest nemesis, has never been better. Chiefs fans, and Alex Smith, hope the quality play can continue into the next season. If it doesn’t, well, all we’ll have are questions about his future, and the possible concern of Smith’s health.

Morse on the other hand is a player that showed great promise at the very start of his career. The great concern with Morse is his health, namely concussions. He’s had two documented concussions since he entered the league a year ago, and at a position with a lot of banging heads, once certainly has to be concerned about the long term health of the young man.

If he’s able to avoid concussions, Morse has a very bright future ahead of him. If he’s unable to avoid the concussion, well, his career will be a quick flash and then the Chiefs will be needing to look for another center.
