Buffalo Bills: There may be a contract battle brewing in Buffalo as cornerback Stephon Gilmore looks to be paid among the top at this position.  However, the Bills have openly stated they have no intentions of paying him that kind of money.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers have signed offensive tackle Michael Oher to a three year extension worth up to $21.6 million.  The team also gave head coach Ron Rivera a new contract.

Chiefs’ Take

: The Oher deal needs to be the range that the Chiefs are trying to get Eric Fisher re-signed at.  It’s top 15 money for offensive tackles, and that’s just about right given what we’ve seen from Fisher.  However, there is a chance he’ll step up and have a good enough season that his market would reset at a higher rate.

Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs safety Eric Berry has been awarded the George Halas Award for overcoming adversity in his fight against cancer.

Los Angeles Rams: Despite initial optimism, it is now being reported that it is unlikely that the Rams will get an extension done with defensive back Trumaine Johnson before the July 15 deadline.

New England Patriots: Long time football executive and pundit Mike Lombardi has resigned his post with the Patriots.  It’s unknown what his plans are for the future.

New Orleans Saints: The Saints have placed safety Jamarca Sanford on Injured Reserve with an undisclosed injury.  The team had re-signed him earlier this offseason.

San Diego Chargers: A former San Diego Councilman has issued a new plan for building a stadium in the city to keep the Chargers from moving to Los Angeles with the Rams.

Well, that will do it for me, Addicts.  Sorry there wasn’t more to talk about…but unfortunately you’ll have to get used to that over the next few weeks before Training Camp starts up.  Of course, this is the NFL, so you never know what will happen.  And we do have the July 15 deadline approaching, so there will be some stories there.
