Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin posted a deep picture on Instagram.

The Chiefs are wrapping up their three-day mandatory minicamp on Thursday afternoon, with the next meeting of the team coming in late July for training camp.

Last year, Kansas City went to the playoffs after a 1-5 start, reeling off 10 straight wins and showcasing a deep bond with one another. Early on Thursday, receiver Jeremy Maclin posted to his Instagram account something he feels embodies the team and his feelings toward it.

It’s not a huge, rambling paragraph filled with hashtags and catchy quotes. It’s simply Maclin telling the world how he feels about the bond between himself and head coach Andy Reid.

For the Chiefs, this is the kind of thing you always want to see. Kansas City has seemingly come together as a team after being together for years under the guise of Reid, and that could go a long way toward finally getting back to the Super Bowl.

Kansas City is a favorite to reach the dance for the first time in years, alongside perennial contenders such as the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s an exciting time.
