7. 2015 AFC Wild Card – Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans

Yes, this has to be on the list. It was not a Super Bowl win or a great ending, but it simply means so much to this franchise. For fans of teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots or even the Denver Broncos, they will likely scoff and understandably so.

For fans of Kansas City, this was an incredibly powerful moment. The Chiefs had not won a playoff game in 22 years, losing eight consecutive contests in postseason play. It was a stream that defined everything about the organization, and it finally ended in January with Kansas City plowing the Houston Texans, 30-0.

The Chiefs dominated the game from start to finish, forcing Houston quarterback Brian Hoyer into five turnovers including four interceptions. Kansas City started the game in tremendous fashion with Knile Davis running back taking back the opening kickoff 106 yards.

For a team and a town that had been down so long, it was a watershed win. The Chiefs would go on to lose to the Patriots in Foxborough the following week, 27-20, but the victory over Houston feels like groundwork for the future.
