3. Jamaal Charles

Before anybody goes crazy about Charles not being higher on the list, this isn’t about the career he’s had. This is a ranking about who is going to shine moving forward, and Charles has some legitimate question marks keeping him at No. 3 instead of the top spot.

Charles is coming off a second torn ACL which he sustained in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. It was an innocent looking play, but when Charles planted and cut left, his knee gave out without contact. It was scary and for a 29-year old running back, it could spell the end of productivity.

All of that said, Charles had arguably the best year of his career after tearing his ACL in 2011. Charles has been able to amass one of the all-time great careers at the running back position, racking up a 5.5 yards per carry, an NFL record.

Charles already is the franchise record-holder with 7,220 rushing yards and has 42 rushing touchdowns to accompany 2,443 receiving yards and 20 scores. He is one of the greatest players of his generation and a run in the playoffs with him spearheading the charge could be the difference in whether or not he reaches the Hall of Fame.
