Good morning, Addicts! Hopefully the work wek is cruising by for you as we head into Thursday. The Kansas City Chiefs will be back at practice for the third and final day of their second OTA session. The Chiefs are not done, though, with another OTA coming next week which will be followed by a mandatory minicamp.

From all accounts, the Chiefs have been getting some quality work in. If you check out Twitter and follow the beat writers, it seems the secondary is playing very well in the early going. While it’s hard to figure how much that means, it is certainly better than the alternative.

Here is the news you need to know…

Chiefs practice has a Jamaal Charles sightingTerez Paylor of the Kansas City Star

"Chiefs coach Andy Reid is expected to give an update on Charles’ status on Thursday, but Reid said last week that Charles isn’t expected to participate in practice until training camp begins in July, at the earliest."

Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters steps into leadership roleThe Sports XChange

"Twelve months later, the Chiefs don’t have any worries about Peters, not after a rookie season that saw him tie for the league lead with eight interceptions and win Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Rather than concerned about his personality and his transition to the NFL, they are now looking at him in the role of a leader in a secondary filled with youngsters."

Here’s why Jah Reid should be starting at guardSeth Keysor of Arrowhead Pride

"What I REALLY like, though, is the finish. You see that with Reid time and time again. More so than any other blocker I’ve watched Reid has a desire to bury people. I noticed it consistently in both games he was at RG, as well as the non-graded games where he played RT. The Chiefs need someone with that kind of attitude on the line."
