The Kansas City Chiefs should be stunned at this lack of respect.

Typically speaking, it is accepted that the Chiefs are a better collection of talent than most. In this year’s version of the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players, Kansas City has nine players, more than any other franchise.

However, CBS’ Pete Prisco does not agree. In his version of the Top 100, he only has Marcus Peters (No. 65), Jamaal Charles (No. 78) and Eric Berry (No. 82). Prisco also did mention that if Justin Houston wasn’t injured, he would be in the top 15.

All that said, how is Derrick Johnson not on the list while guys like Weston Richburg are? With all due respect to the New York Giants center, would you trade Johnson (even at his age) to the Giants for Westburg? No shot.

Meanwhile, Berry is 82nd on the list? The guy is a first-team All-Pro safety and somehow 32 spots behind Eric Weddle. Weddle is a fine player, but he got about half the contract that Berry will come July. There’s a reason.

I can understand leaving Jeremy Maclin, Alex Smith, Tamba Hali and Travis Kelce off the list. Smith isn’t a top 100 player in my eyes, and Hali is borderline at this point. Personally, Kelce and Maclin should be there, especially if Tyler Eifert and Jordan Reed are. Both are terrific, but Kelce is in that class if not above it.

What do you say, Addicts? How many Chiefs were truly snubbed here?
