AA: Were there any teams you thought might draft you, or did you expect to be an UDFA?

BE: I know Arizona talked to my agent, and they seemed really interested.  Green Bay and Carolina gave me prior rookie camp tryouts before the draft.  I think Arizona was the only team that I thought would draft me very very late or give me a free agent call right after the draft.

AA: Who contacted you from the Chiefs organization to give you the invite?

BE: I know Dan Zegers, I don’t think he was the one that contacted me, but he talked to me a lot after the draft.  A lot of information about what I would be doing.

AA: Did you accept immediately, or wait for other invites to come in to weigh your options?  Did any other teams give you an invite?

BE: I was back and forth talking to my agent at the time because we weren’t in the same place.  But the Chiefs called me about 15 minutes after the draft.  They were the first team to call me.  My agent was kind of weighing it with other teams (in terms of) potential to get on the team.  But he said Kansas City would be my best shot.
