The Kansas City Chiefs added their fifth and sixth names to the Top 100 Players of 2016.

On Wednesday night, NFL Network revealed players 80-71 on the Top 100 Players of 2016. Kansas City already had four players make the show in Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce, Tamba Hali and Alex Smith, and then added two more in this edition.

Derrick Johnson came in at No. 80 while Jamaal Charles landed at No. 75. There was plenty of debate about where Charles ended up on the list, considering he tore his ACL but is also one of the great players of this generation.

For my two cents, Charles is where he belongs. Many players are going off what happened last year, and just the fact he made the list shows ample respect. However, I do get the argument that his body of work should have him in the top 50, at the least.

My bigger beef is with Johnson. He should be much, much higher. Inside linebackers aren’t getting the attention they used to, but he’s a great player. Johnson is the heart and soul of the defense and despite getting older, still plays like a guy in his prime.

All that said, the Chiefs have already seen six players named to the Top 100 list, easily the most of any team. Kansas City can pencil in at least three more names, with Marcus Peters, Eric Berry and Justin Houston sure to be somewhere in the proceedings.

What do you think, Addicts? Did Charles and Johnson get slighted or are their spots correct?
