Coffee with the Chiefs – Anybody left?

Good morning, Addicts! The Kansas City Chiefs are less than a week away from their first full-team OTA session, which will last three days.

The Chiefs are simply hoping to get some quality work in before coming back the following week for another OTA get-together. However, is there something else we should all be watching? While free agency is all but finished, there are still some nice names on the list. Maybe general manager John Dorsey should dip his toe in the water and come out with another wide receiver or perhaps even a corner.

Here is the news you need to know…

Anquan Boldin, Leon Hall highlight list of remaining free agents Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"I’m confused why he’s not on a team yet. 5’11, 195 pounds and plays the slot … that seems like the type of player a few teams could use. There’s gotta be something more to it."

Chris Conley faces stiff competition to get on fieldLeigh Oleszczak of KC Kingdom

"Conley showed promise at times in 2015, but for the most part, had too many drops. He ended the year with only 199 receiving yards and one touchdown in the regular season. It is worth mentioning that Conley had a huge touchdown reception in the AFC Wild Card game, that pretty much sealed Houston’s fate though."

Here’s where the Chiefs stand on defenseAdam Teicher of ESPN

"There are plenty of issues for the Chiefs to resolve here, the biggest being Houston and when he can return to the lineup after having ACL surgery in February. Among the others: Do the aging Johnson and Hali each have one more big season left? Is Ford ready to become a consistent presence?"
