Okoye was a big, punishing back who played in the late 80’s and early 90’s as a member of the Chiefs. The “Nigerian Nightmare” was massive at 6-foot-1 and 253 pounds and owns one of the best seasons in franchise history for a running back with 1,480 yards on the ground and 12 rushing TDs during an incredible 1989 campaign. He finished his career in KC with 4,897 yards and 40 rushing touchdowns.

The two-time Pro-Bowler ranks near the top in many categories for Chiefs running backs all-time, and will forever be remembered by Chiefs fans for his punishing running style and the intimidation factor that he brought to opposing defenses.

The NFL Hall of Fame running back is an obvious choice as one of the organization’s top players at his position. Allen played for the red and gold to close his career, completing five seasons with the Chiefs and rushing for a very productive 44 touchdowns during that time, which ranks him third in club history.

The former Raider great excelled in his time with KC in short yardage and goal line situations as he did the unthinkable of once being on a hated rival and then eventually becoming a very beloved player to Chiefs fans everywhere. He was inducted into the Hall in 2003 after a marvelous career with both Oakland and Kansas City.
