Last week, Matt Verderame power ranked the all-time Chiefs quarterbacks, and this week I will be doing my own ranking, except this time it deals with the 10 best running backs that have ever donned the red and gold.

Kansas City has seen many great running backs over the years, so it was difficult to make a list of the ten best to ever call One Arrowhead Drive their home. Earning honorable mention is former Saints third round pick Barry Word. Word played for KC for only four seasons, but racked up 2,306 rushing yards and 12 TDs during that span. This included a career-best 1,015 rushing yards in 1990.

Although he never made a Pro Bowl team, the former Virginia Cavalier served mainly as a bruising, dependable backup to star Christian Okoye during his career with the Chiefs and showed that he could produce when his name was called.
