The Chiefs interest in Paxton Lynch appears to have been real.  And that interest would indicate that the team does not see either Aaron Murray or Tyler Bray as the quarterback of the future.

Both Andy Reid and John Dorsey come from backgrounds where their teams will go after a quarterback if they feel they can build around that player for the future.  But neither of them have a history of arbitrarily doing that, meaning they don’t just draft a quarterback for the sake of drafting a quarterback.

That means we can’t just write off the Lynch interest as a passing fancy.  There was obviously a plan there.

It is not something the Murray and Bray fan clubs want to hear.  A recent article posed the question as to whether or not Aaron Murray would have a chance at playing time.  The comments section in both the article, and on the Facebook post, are largely pro-Murray.  But in my book, it’s an emphatic “no.”
