7. Mike Livingston

Much like Kenney, Livingston is an often-forgot player on this team and should not be. Livingston was never s atar, but he was one of the most important players during Kansas City’s only run to a Super Bowl. The quarterback out of SMU was able to step in when both Len Dawson and Jacky lee got injured in the first three games of the 1969 season and start six contests, winning them all.

Without Livingston, the Chiefs never sniff the postseason in 1969 and therefore are still waiting for their first Super Bowl title. Livingston remained on the team through the 1979 season before retiring at the age of 34. He ultimately threw for 11,295 yards and started 75 games, earning a 31-43-1 mark.

Livingston was really only the starting quarterback from 1976-78, otherwise serving as the backup to Dawson. While Livingston was never able to make a Pro Bowl or get his number retired, he was a huge part of the only Super Bowl season this team has ever known. That alone is worth a high spot on the list.
