15. Tennessee Titans (from LA): Jack Conklin – OT – Michigan State

Why?: After trading back, getting Jack Conklin would be a huge step towards “winning” this draft.  Conklin can play either tackle spot, which means the team will be able to set up an open competition between him and third-year man, Taylor Lewan.  This has the potential of giving QB Marcus Mariota a pair of young, talented, book end tackles.  Yes, they signed Byron Bell, but the talk is already that he will move inside to guard.

Trading back up?: CBS analyst (and butt-hurt Orioles fan) Jason LaCanfora is reporting that the Titans are considering trying to trade back into the top 10.  This actually makes some sense.  They have the ammo to do it, and may have a different player in mind.  My guess is that player would be Ronnie Stanley, who I have going at No. 10 to the Giants.

16. Detroit Lions: Laquan Treadwell – WR – Ole Miss

Why?: Megatron is gone and you can almost feel the air of depression in Detroit right now.  Do not get this twisted, Laquan Treadwell is NOT the second coming of Calvin Johnson.

He can, however, go a long way in boosting the Lions receiving game along with Marvin Jones and Golden Tate.  The Lions need to get the most out of QB Matt Stafford, and the way to do that is with quality receiving targets.

Starting the DT run: The middle of the DL used to be the strength of the Lions defense.  Now, it’s a shell of what it was.  They need to find a way to get some interior pressure, and Haloti Ngata’s best days are behind him.  Sheldon Rankins (DT – Louisville) is a great options right here.
