Carolina Panthers: Panthers right tackle Mike Remmers has signed his RFA tender and will be returning to the team this year.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have made it known that they are shopping the 2nd overall pick in the draft, looking to rebuild from losing so many players this offseason.  One part of that exodus that is still up in the air is the status of wide receiver Josh Gordon who failed a drug test while on suspension.

He is now ineligible for reinstatement until August 1.  A troubling addition to that story is that Gordon is apparently still hanging out with Johnny Manziel, who was himself unable to get a handle on his own substance abuse issues.

  • Chiefs’ Take: If Kansas City had been considering trading for Gordon, they should officially cross him off now.  There is no reason to believe he’ll ever be able to play again.

Denver Broncos: Broncos center Matt Paradis has signed his ERFA tender and will be returning to the team this year.

Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs defensive lineman Mike DeVito officially announced his retirement from the NFL this week.

  • Chiefs’ Take: This may increase the pace of contract talks with Dontari Poe.  The team had been negotiating a new deal with him earlier this offseason.  It will be interesting to see if the team looks to add more competition on the defensive line, or they may have confidence in some of their current backup options.

Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings have re-structured the contract of linebacker Chad Greenway.  The deal will now pay him $2.75M in 2016, which the veteran linebacker has indicated will be his last in the NFL.

Next: And in New England...
