What has changed: The last time we saw the Texans, they were busy losing 30-0 to the Chiefs. Well, things are going to appear differently in 2016 with a wide array of new (and old) faces on offense. General manager Rick Smith realized he needed to upgrade the quarterback position and did so by signing Brock Osweiler to a four-year, $72 million deal.

Then, Smith went out and stole Lamar Miller from the Miami Dolphins and guard Jeff Allen, coming over from Kansas City. Allen will be replacing Brandon Brooks, a quality guard who left on a five-year deal for the Philadelphia Eagles. Arian Foster was also released from the squad, while Rahim Moore moved on to the Cleveland Browns.

Should they scare you?: Houston is a tough team to figure out. The Texans have some really nice pieces in J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus, Brian Cushing, Johnathan Joseph, DeAndre Hopkins and Kevin Johnson, but the offense still has issues. Is Osweiler good? Can Miller become an elite back? Will anybody emerge outside of Hopkins for Osweiler to throw to?

The Texans could be a 10 or 11-win team if everything comes up aces. However, this could be a team that struggles to crack .500 if Osweiler plays below expectation and the defense takes any step back.

Prediction: 24-19, Chiefs
