The 2016 NFL Draft is just a little over two weeks away and the search for the perfect pick for the Kansas City Chiefs continues. The overwhelming preference among many fans is for KC to take a cornerback in the first round to replace the departed Sean Smith. While that does make sense, what if a top cornerback is no longer available when the Chiefs select?

Last week I looked at the likelihood of drafting a defensive lineman in the first round. This week its time to look at a local prospect that might be an option in the first round, Cody Whitehair of Kansas State.

Cody Whitehair is a 6-foot-4 and 301-pound offensive lineman that played both left tackle and left guard during his time with the Wildcats. He is widely viewed as the only offensive guard prospect worthy of consideration in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs have players on their roster that can compete for starting jobs at the guard position but with Jeff Allen signing with Houston and Ben Grubbs being cut due to injury issues the position is definitely one that KC could stand to address in the upcoming draft.

So the question is…..”Is Cody Whitehair worth a first round pick for the Kansas City Chiefs?”
