Good morning, Addicts! I hope you are all happy about the upcoming weekend. It’s always nice to wake up on a Friday and realize that youa re about to have two full days to do whatever the heck you want. Take that, boss man! (If my boss is reading this, just kidding! Work is great!).

The Kansas City Chiefs made some news on Thursday with the announcement of the 2016 preseason schedule. In case you missed it, the Chiefs will be playing the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers at home (Week 1 and 4) with the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears on the road (Week 2 and 3).

Here is the news you need to know…

Justin Houston looks very good in rehab (Video)Adam Teicher of ESPN

"Maybe Houston indeed can salvage most if not all of his 2016 season. The Chiefs indicated rehab for the type of procedure Houston had usually runs between six and 12 months. If Houston can hit that six-month mark, he’d return in the middle of August."

Jimmy Wilson sees chance to revive career like other safeties in Kansas CityAdam Teicher of ESPN

"The research that really attracted Wilson was the Chiefs’ recent history with veteran safeties. Husain Abdullah, Quintin Demps, Kurt Coleman and Tyvon Branch joined Kansas City on one-year contracts and revived careers that had stalled for one reason or another."

Chiefs will host big and fast receiver from BYUJoel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"You may remember Mathews name from the Hail Mary catch against Nebraska last season (video above). Also note the BYU connection with Andy Reid and his alma mater. Mathews said the Chiefs, Packers and Falcons are showing the most interest. He’s projected as a late round pick if he is drafted at all. The Chiefs could also be setting the stage to sign him as an undrafted free agent."
