While the Kansas City Chiefs are letting vital players from 2015 walk, they’re adding new talent and retaining more impact players than I expected for the team’s cap situation to allow. However, it has been far from an imperfect offseason for the Chiefs, which now has a major hole in the secondary.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Chargers are silent, the Broncos are in quarterback purgatory and the Raiders are building a contender.

Plus, the NFL decided to make an example of the Chiefs by way of a major punishment for tampering charges. What can the Chiefs do about this type of unprecedented penalty for a process that seems commonplace in the league? Unfortunately, probably not much.

All of that and much more on this episode of Roughing the Kicker.
