The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with right tackle Mitchell Schwartz.
After a quiet first hour in 2016 NFL free agency, Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey rolled up his sleeves and pulled off one of the best moves of the day. According to Rand Getlin, the Chiefs have agreed to terms with right tackle Mitchell Schwartz.
I'm told OT Mitchell Schwartz has agreed in principle to a deal with the #Chiefs.

Kansas City is finalizing a 5-year deal with soon-to-be former Browns OT Mitchell Schwartz, from @PatMcManamon and me.

The Chiefs have needed a right tackle for years and now have one of the best in the league with Schwartz, who played the first four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Only 26 years old (turns 27 before the season begins), Schwartz is regarded by most experts as being a top-five player at the position. The contract details should be very interesting.
We know understand why Dorsey was willing to let both Jeff Allen and Donald Stephenson test the open market and eventually land elsewhere. With an improving Eric Fisher on the left side and Schwartz on the right, Alex Smith should have all day to throw the ball. By the way …
Mitch Schwartz was one of the only people to lock up Von Miller last season. Now he gets to face him twice. #Chiefs

This is awesome.
