Good morning, Addicts! It is Friday, and let’s all stop to thank the man upstairs for that. In a few hours, we all get to enjoy the weekend, something that we have been waiting for since about 9 a.m. on Monday. The Kansas City Chiefs are still at the NFL Scouting Combine, getting ready for the players to finally take the field.
The Chiefs are going to be very busy this week, hoping to bring some major players back into the fold. We can all hope that general manager John Dorsey knocks it out of the park.
Here is the news you need to know…
Chase Daniel believes he is a starter in the NFL – Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star
"Now Daniel, who went undrafted in 2009 after a prolific college career at Missouri because of questions about his size (6 feet, 225 pounds) and arm strength, is set to hit free agency after spending the last seven years as an understudy to Drew Brees in New Orleans, where he won a Super Bowl in February 2010, and Alex Smith with the Chiefs."
Chiefs scouting report: Carson Wentz – Leigh Oleszczak of KC Kingdom
"It’s pretty huge when a quarterback from a small, Division I, Football Championship Series subdivision university is being pegged as one of the best quarterback prospects in this year’s draft."
Kansas City carries over $2.6 million in cap space – Jeremy Warnemuende of 247 Sports
"Kansas City faces some challenges this offseason, with a host of key players scheduled to hit free agency. Spotrac estimates that the Chiefs will have about $32 million in cap space to potentially re-sign guys like Eric Berry, Sean Smith, Derrick Johnson or Tamba Hali, bring in other players through free agency and sign draft picks."
